Waste Types
For the purpose of hiring a skip bin, waste falls into three main categories.
General Waste Bins
General Waste includes household items such as appliances and furniture, also cardboard, garden waste, green waste, gyprock, paper, plastic, soil, steel and timber. All of these items can be combined in the same skip bin.
Commercial and Construction site examples include general construction waste created from demolitions, renovations and property developments.
Asbestos found in your General Waste skip bin will incur an additional charge. Deliberate concealment of hazardous waste in our skip bins is prohibited and surcharges may apply.
Brick and Concrete Only Bins
Strictly filled with only clean brick and concrete with no general waste or soil etc. Please be aware that if your Brick and Concrete Only bin contains any general waste at all, it will be charged at the General Waste price. Asbestos found in your Brick and Concrete Only bin is prohibited and will incur an additional charge.
Asbestos Only Bins
Asbestos means any product that contains asbestos. We provide skip bins for Asbestos only in all sizes. Phillips Skip Bins supplies 200micron plastic sheeting and duct tape, to line your bin. All waste collected by Phillips Skip Bins is transported to licensed recycling and waste disposal facilities throughout Sydney. Waste is always separated and sorted with the aim of recovering materials, which can be reused or reprocessed. An example of recovered materials includes: sand, soils, metals, timber, brick and concrete.
